Emergency Funds Needed!!!

Petco has donated an additional 20 TONS of pet food to us this month to distribute. All we need to do is raise funds to transport the food to our facility. Rescue groups and shelters in need of food are welcome to participate. Food will be coming to our Lawrenceville, GA facility this Monday, Dec. 19th, so funds are needed IMMEDIATELY! Food can only be stored at Daffy’s warehouse for the remainder of this year due to our big move and expansion in 2012. If you are a rescue or shelter in need of pet food and would like to help us cover the cost of shipping, donations can be made via paypal at www.daffyspetsoupkitchen.com.

We hope to get this food distributed to all those hungry animals for a BIG HOLIDAY TREAT.

Thanks for your continued support!

Donations For Storm Animals

We are in major need of financial donations. We do not want funding to limit the amount of help we can provide. Any donation, large or small is needed. We want to thank everyone for their responses to this terrible situation. If you have offered to volunteer or foster, we will be in touch with you soon. We need many people to help with fostering and volunteering, but we are still waiting on reports from areas and to get the right people with the right animals. I am going to NW Georgia Monday to get my own visual and assess the damage and the needs of the community myself. I am not willing to sit by and let these animals possible end up alone, homeless, or dead because of lack of funds or assistance. I will have a better understanding Monday of what and who is needed. As of now, we have an emergency grant request out at Petco to help with some of the needed supplies. Our biggest need for now is volunteers and financial. PLEASE DONATE NOW. THESE ANIMALS ARE SCARED AND ALONE AND FEEL THEY LOST THEIR FAMILIES. LETS MAKE THEIR LIVES A LITTLE BETTER AND GET THEM SOME FOOD AND SHELTER. KEEP POSTED

Animals In Need of HELP

Emergency Financial Donations Needed.

Due to the storms, many animals have been displaced. Most organizations are dealing with loss of human life and property. We are helping the animals before its too late and they are forgotten. Please help by volunteering or donating today. We need assistance with both. Talked to counties heavily affected by storms and for the most part they are FULL of animals and have no room for anymore. We need to help these animals that are still out there with no where to go. Please keep us posted if you are in one of these areas so we can keep on top of the situation. We are working in Georgia to make a better environment for animals in these situations. Help us today. Become a donor or a volunteer. Thanks

Terrible Storms Hit Georgia

We are already emailing local and state officials to help in this natural disaster. We will keep people up to date through this site and Facebook as to local rescues and shelters to help with peoples animals and pets in these times of need. Donations are always needed of food, blankets, pet supplies, crates, cleaning supplies, and of course monetary donations to help these displaced animals. During the Georgia floods we rescues over 100 animals and shipped over 25,000 lbs of food to needed areas. We are here to help. Help us if you can. Please donate online, mail checks to SOS Club PO Box 1640 Lilburn Ga. 30048, or donate supplies at any of our food drop off locations. Please bring larger donations to our Lawrenceville Branch. Contact Tom before any delivery to Lawrenceville. 678-725-4992. Thanks for helping these animals in need

Sponsors Needed: Feral Kitten Rescue

We need SPONSORS IMMEDIATELY. Looking at spaces to start rescue for ferals. This is kitten season and our trapping has began. No one has room for kittens, and we trap a lot. We need sponsors to get our license and our space. It will cost us around $2500 to get our rescue license and our deposit on our space. We will need monthly sponsors as well. Many people have talked to me about starting this rescue, so here I am. Come support us in saving these kittens and getting them a home and not put back out in the wild. Donate today and become a sponsor. Thanks

Skinny puppy needs vetting, foster, and forever home

This poor puppy was found wandering the streets and is in desperate need of help.  We are currently trying to raise funds for his vetting and find him a foster home so he can get his forever home.

The little guy was discovered by one of our volunteers from a couple years ago just wandering the streets of her neighborhood.  We believe he was wither left behind from a foreclosure or was not being fed and managed to escape due to how thin he is.  Unfortunately the person who saved his life cannot keep him due to her other animals not taking well to other dogs so we are looking to find him a good foster home, vet care and his forever home.  he is about 4 months old and weighs 6 lbs.  He is a sweetheart, but we do not know how he is with cats.

We hate to see this happen, and if you are able to help, please contact Tom Wargo at thesosclubofga@yahoo.com&lt Help us help this little guy and others just like him who are victims of unfortunate circumstances by clicking any of the links on our site to donate.

Daffy’s Expanding

In 2009, Daffy’s handed out over 500,000 lbs of pet supplies in Georgia. In 2010, Daffys handed out over 600,000 lbs of pet supplies. Did you know we help people in over 60 counties. Most people we help are in the Atlanta area, but many drive a long way because we are limited on our locations. Daffy’s is going to expand even more to try to cover more counties from more locations. We need to help more people. Did you know there are over 6 main people food banks in Gwinnett County? Thats a lot of people needing food. Did you know that over 1,000,000 people in Georgia are on some sort of food assistance program? Did you know that on average that over 65% of people have pets and most more than (1) pet? That is a lot of people, and there for pets, that need food. We need to expand to help all those people, not just those close to us. Help us expand and help save more lives. We need to keep families and their pets together, not let them go to rescues or the pounds because lack of food. Please donate time, food, and money. We need all (3) to survive and grow. Even though we were the first and also the larest pet soup kitchen in the country, we are not satisified with only feeding a few thousand pets per month. We want to help pets in every household that needs help. Thanks for your support
