Our Mission

According to the ASPCA, shelter intakes are almost evenly divided between animals relinquished by their owners and strays brought in from the streets. 50 percent of dogs, and 70 percent of cats in shelters are euthanized simply because there is no one to adopt them.

Our mission at Daffy’s Pet Soup Kitchen is to keep families and their pets together. It’s no secret that America has an overpopulation of homeless pets. By providing pet food to families that would otherwise have to give up their beloved pets, we are helping to keep animals out of shelters and in their warm, happy homes where they belong. This also gives the animals currently in shelters more time to find their forever homes.

By supporting Daffy’s, you can help lower the number of pets surrendered by their owners, thus reducing the number of animals that are being euthanized in high-kill shelters. Daffy’s currently feeds over 1500 pets in Georgia alone. We have given out over 1 million pounds of pet food and supplies and have provided over 4 million meals to hungry pets. We also have helped to make spay/neutering more accessible and have provided assistance with more than 2500 spays and neuters.

And because those helped by Daffy’s are required to perform community service in order to receive our assistance, we actually give back to communities with over 5000 service hours each month. As you can see, by supporting our pet soup kitchen you not only make a difference in the lives of pets and their families, but also in the animal shelters and in your local community!

There are still hundreds of families, just in and around Atlanta alone, that could use our help. Please help Daffy’s help others!
